History Pre-Eorzea
Growing up, Nariko did not know the conventional ways of Raen or Xaela living, not really belonging to either lifestyle. Her mother, a Raen healer. Her father, a Xaela of the Qalli tribe. They met when her father made a trip to Doma.
When the Garleans invaded Doma, her mother left the city for good and joined her father in the nomadic lifestyle. Her mother taught her the ways of healing, both with Aether and using traditional methods. Her father taught her how to sing. She never felt quite attached to either lifestyle, floating in-between.
For a few years, the small family traveled with the Malaguld tribe, finding acceptance as a 'blended' family within their ranks.
Eventually, when the Au Ra started to migrate out of the region, Nariko decided to go out into the world and explore. Her parents still live with the Malaguld tribe, and she goes to visit them often.
History in Eorzea
After coming to Eorzea, Nariko got a job with a company known as the Ravanelle Corporation, a medical research facility. At the company, Nariko was able to delve deeper into the science aspect of medical training and alchemy. She learned to perform basic surgical procedures and concoct a series of medications.
Her superior, Fiona Cooper, taught her how to make a few 'recreational medications' known as Orchid Spice & Yellow Fever. (For more information, refer to this chart here.)
She has this knowledge, but doesn't strive to get into the drug trade like her predecessor. It's nifty to have though for fun, or to make a quick few gil if she needs somewhere to lay her head down. She's not looking to build a drug empire or anything.
Now, Nariko is looking for her place in this new world! Let's see where she goes.

✩ Batbayar Qalli: Father, a kind Xaela that fell in love with a Raen. He allowed Nariko to be named after the Raen traditions due to her not being part of his tribe. He did teach her to play musical instruments and to sing.

OOC Information
I enjoy strange RP. I enjoy RP that isn’t always happy. I enjoy getting down and dirty and having unfortunate things happen sometimes. My character Nariko is very difficult and even dark at times, because if we were happy and grand all of the time then RP would get pointless and boring. If you want an easy friend/lay/happygolucky gal- Nariko is not the character for you.
I’m also an ‘anything goes’ sort of player cou-smut-gh as long as things are RELEVANT to the story. I will also be flexible if I have mature RP partners that would like to plan things.
